Duane H. Severson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Duane H. Severson (Ames, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Severson and Thelma Severson; his siblings, Arlin, Herbert, Earl Severson and Elaine Smith; and his son Jon Severson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Severson of Story City, IA; his sisters, Maxine Thomason of Ames, IA and Juanita White of Nebraska; his sons, Jerry (Sandy) of Kelley, IA and James (Julie) of Duluth, MN; and his grandchildren, Sarah (Jessica) of Duluth, MN, Ryan (Alison) of Ankeny, IA and Amber (Quintin) of Laveen, AZ. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Duane requested donations to Heartland Baptist Church for missions.
