It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Simmerman of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Orval Simmerman and Doris Simmerman (Johnson). He is survived by : his wife Martha Jo; his children, Michael Simmerman (Dale) of Candor, NC, Cheryl Vanek (Eric), Linda West of Newton, IA, Scott Simmerman (Anna) of McKinney, TX and Julie Nelson (Paul) of Huxley, IA; his stepdaughter Joann Clippinger of Omaha, NE; and his siblings, Donald Simmerman Elk Grove (Rose) and Delores Streeter of Pleasant Hill, IA.. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
