He was predeceased by: his parents, Knut J. Anderson and Margit Anderson; and his siblings, Lloyd Anderson of Ames, Herdis Kittleson of Mason City and Lillian Anderson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Anderson Higgins of Miami, FL and Amy Anderson Baldassare of West Orange, NJ; his son-in-law Michael Baldassare; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Baldassare of Chicago and Lillian Baldassare of Orlando.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Gerhard's name to Bethesda Lutheran Church, Suncrest Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
