She was predeceased by: her parents, William James and Mary James. She is survived by: her siblings, Kevin James (Pearl You) of Mountain View, CA and Kara Hillhouse (Tony) of Lincoln, NE; her siblings' children, Ronan James-Estenson and Carmen Strauss (Aedan); and her extended family K. C..
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Collegiate Presbyterian Church (159 Sheldon Ave, Ames, IA 50014).
In lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances, Heather's family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to the Ames Animal Shelter and sent to the family's attention at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa, 50010.
