She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Clemens and Monica Clemens (Gansemer); her husband Wayne Gjerde; and her siblings, Bobby Clemens, Joan Monica Locher (Joe), Mary Skraby (Ernie) and Margaret Becker (Jim).

She is survived by: her daughter Mary Lemke of Omaha, NE; her granddaughter Margaret Lemke; her sisters, Evelyn Clemens of Dubuque, IA and Cindy Krueger (Ed) of Appleton, WI; and her brother-in-law Charles Gjerde. She is also survived by her family and the many friends.

In lieu of plants and flowers, a Helen Bertha (Clemens) Gjerde Memorial Fund has been established.
