He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lester and Glennadine Lester; his sisters, Elaine and Janice; and his in-laws, Frank and Bernice Kout.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Kout-Lester of Ames; his son Mark Lester (Danielle) of Gilbert, Arizona; and his siblings, James Lester and Linda Morris.
