He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Grove and Lois Johnson (Rutledge); his grandparents, Earnest, Prudence Grove, Gorlan and Edith Rutledge; and his uncles, Jim Williams and Pat Hamill.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Drummer; his daughter Jana Egan; his grandson Declan Egan; his siblings, Kathy Springer (Grove) and Joe Grove; and his aunts, Lola Williams and Joanne Hamill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church (2900 Hoover Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
