She was predeceased by: her parents, Lars Skaar and Hannah Skaar (Hillestad); her spouse Arden Quam; and her siblings, Ole B. (Mary Jane), Luther Skaar and Arlette Stole (Don).

She is survived by: her children, Steven Quam (Cyndy) of Urbandale, Sharon Waldman (William) of Waukee and Sandy Johnson (Neils) of Ames; her grandchildren, Scott Quam, Seth Quam (Amy), Shaun Quam (Carly), Sam Quam (Marie), Erik Tripp (Brittni), Hannah Aukes (Jeff), Emily Tripp (Rob Wigger), Alleah Westover (Michael) and Tyler Yeni; and her sisters-in-law, Darlene Quam and Betty Skaar. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
