She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Hovde and Mildred Hovde (Christenson); her husband Ron; her siblings, LaVerne Hovde and Shirley Hovde; and her parents-in-law, James and Wilma Thompson.

She is survived by : her children, Boone, Paul Thompson (Boone), Lori (Kent) and Karen (David); her grandsons, Grant Fehr, Andrew Fehr, Jacob Noftsger and Joshua Noftsger; her sister-in-law Georgia Hovde (Webster City); her nieces, Debbie Lindeman and Sharon Gerr (Paul); and her brother-in-law Rodger Thompson (Ames).
