It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Michaud (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Wirth and Anna Wirth (Elsner); her siblings, Marie Swenson (Ray), Dorthy Zeisneiss (Bob), Louise Johnson (Richard), Anna Tressler (Derral), Leonard Wirth, Alma Heintz (Don) and Rita Bielefeldt (Donald); her in-laws, Ray and Helen Michaud; her niece Charlotte Zeisneiss; John Michaud (Jean), Richard Canon and Roy Young.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Michaud; her children, Lori O'Connor (Kevin), Steve Michaud (Janice), Karen Uhrich (Mark) and Michelle Thilges (Joel); her grandchildren, Kendra O'Connor Hansen (Dan), Brian O'Connor, Nick Michaud (Chloe), Drew Michaud (Meredith), Sarah Michaud, Megan Harris (Heath), Hannah Uhrich (Ben Soncarty), Ethan Uhrich (Summer Schillig), Katelyn Thilges, Derek Thilges and Grant Thilges; her great grandchildren, Jackson Michaud and Theo Michaud; her brother Arnie Wirth (Joyce); and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Wirth, Deborah Young, Bob Michaud (Jan) and Mark Michaud (Jane). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Cecilia Catholic Church building fund or the Alzheimer's Association in loving memory of Marlene.
