She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Malone and Jeanne Malone (Hughes); her siblings, Steve Malone and Therese Malone; her siblings-in-law, Mary Pat Malone, Peter Guroff and Steve Koopmann; and her siblings' children, Michael Malone and Shannon Malone.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mike Malone (Kathy), Kerry Koopmann, Marcia Malone Maureen Guroff (José Velazquez), Pat Malone (Chuck Zauner), Cate Malone (Chris Yevcak) and Bob Malone (Laura Kunde); her aunt Anne Sullivan; her children, Brian (Hyunju Hwang), Shawn (Melinda) and Pat; her grandchildren, Allyson (Michael Rodriguez), Morgan, Jerilyn, Brock (Nikky), Angie, Mai'ana, Tika and Khavonie; and her great grandchildren, Sterling, Cooper and Sonora. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church (2900 Hoover Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary's name to Mary Greely Hospice or St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
