He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Anderson and Evelyn Anderson (Gustafson); and his siblings, Wendell, Dale, Richard and Jeanie (Mercier).

He is survived by: his wife Kay Anderson; his children, Tina Madsen (Kerry) of Knoxville and Kevin Anderson (Stacy) of Speedwell, Tennessee; his granddaughter Abigail Anderson; and his sisters, Vadna Freese of Texas and Nancy Mauschman of Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
