She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Patterson and Irma Patterson of Wever; her stepfather Earl Nickel; and her parents-in-law, Joan Tripp and Henry Tripp.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Tripp of Ames; her son Michael Walstrom (Dawn) of Slater, Iowa; her grandchildren, Zane and Delaney Walstrom of Ames, Iowa; her siblings, Susan Nickel of Van Nuys and Scott Nickel of Wever, Iowa; her siblings-in-law, Deb Roberg (Marc) of Afton, Iowa and Marvin Tripp of Ames, Iowa; her nieces, Cassandra Nickel of Fort Madison, Iowa and Denise Roberg of Afton, Iowa; and her nephew Michael J Tripp of Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Boone Area Humane Society.
