With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip K. Parsons of Ames, Iowa, born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin Philip and Marvyl Bea Parsons (Robinson); his sister Barbara Ann Leach (Parsons); his granddaughter Jessica Lynne Booton; and his son-in-law Carl Schaller.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Parsons of Ames; his children, Don Parsons of Ames, Dan Parsons (Kristi) of Ames, Doug Parsons (Jenny) of Ogden, Barb Parsons-Schaller of Ames and Diane Booton (Greg) of Boone; his sister Dorothy Schory (Dick) of Chicago, IL; and his brother-in-law Raymon Leach of Syracuse, NY.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and three great-granddaughters.
