He was predeceased by: his grandmother Jordt; his parents, Ed Deppe and Nan Deppe; and his siblings, Lillian Pohlmann (Leonard), Jeanne Stein (Wilbert), Arlene Fintel (Howard), James Deppe (Allie) and Richard Deppe (Donna).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Deppe of Ames; his children, Linda Deppe of Milwaukie, Susan Deppe (Steve Oakland) of Colchester, Barbara Deppe (Karl Beuschlein) of Bainbridge Island, Michael Deppe (Rachel Richardson) of St. Paul and Roberta Deppe (Andrew Gibson) of Portland, Oregon.; and his grandchildren, Samuel Moody (Sammi Teo), Louisa Richardson-Deppe, Nathaniel Moody, Charlotte Richardson-Deppe and Isabelle Gibson (Nicolaus Walther). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (516 Kellogg Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
