It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Strong of Ames, Iowa, born in Rutland, Vermont, who passed away on September 1, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Strong and Rhea Strong (Charron); and his siblings-in-law, Karyl Ferguson and Walter Strode. He is survived by : his wife Jan of Ames; his children, Brian Strong of Ames, Sandee Borer (Jeff) of Nevada, Kurt Strong (Suzzanne) of Gilbert and Rusty Strong of Ames; his grandchildren, Rhea Strong, Paige Strong, Amanda Borer, Daniel Borer, Victoria Strong, Rebecca Strong and Charlotte Strong; and his siblings, Sally Strode and Stuart Strong.
