She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Kuhn and Anna Kuhn (Krause); her sister Rosemary Koehler; and her brothers-in-law, John "Jack" Mueller, Richard Koehler and Roger Reinhard.

She is survived by : her husband Victor Gostomski of Ames; her children, Susanne Schlink of Peoria, Robert Gostomski (Kristen) of Des Moines and Ruth Ann Gostomski; her grandchildren, Annie Lallier (Tyler), Sarah McKenney (Alex), Jack Gostomski and Bo Gostomski; and her sister-in-law Joanne Reinhard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sandra's name may be directed to Saint Cecilia Catholic Church or Meals on Wheels of Story County.
