She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Dethloff and Elizabeth "Jan" Dethloff (Stanley); her parents-in-law, Frank and Edna Beall; her sister Melissa (Dick Potter); and her sister-in-law Sally (Dick Crane).
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Charles W. Beall; her daughters, Dr. Libby Balzer (Buzz) and Janet Ott (Clark); and her grandchildren, Bo Balzer (Nicole), Tyler Balzer (Kelly), Sam Balzer (Bri), Bryan Ott (Cassandra), Erin Oglesby (Sawyer) and Traci McWhorter-Ott (Mike). She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, and nieces, nephew, and cousins.
She volunteered at the Ames Police Department's Records Office, Ames Public Library, Bethesda Food Pantry, Emergency Response (RSVP), Voting Elections and Northminster Presbyterian Church Shares Blessings Ministry.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Janie's name may be directed to the Ames Public Library or Northminster Presbyterian Church's Shares Blessings Ministry Fund.
