It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven R. Kaltenheuser of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kaltenheuser and Wilma Kaltenheuser (Engen). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kaltenheuser; his children, Jennifer Winterboer (Chad) of Huxley, Julie Krbec of Madison and John Kaltenheuser (Sara) of Kelley; his siblings, Nancy Tiefenthaler (Duane) and Rodney Kaltenheuser (Barb); his grandchildren, Carter Thompson (Kaitlyn), Quinn Thompson (Logan Mont), Piper Thompson, Jubal, Jasper Krbec, Addison, Audrey and Alexander Kaltenheuser; his great grandchild Khaleesi Van Que; and his sons-in-law, Kevin Thompson and Justin Krbec.
