Steven L. Rust Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steven L. Rust (Ames, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Steven departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Steven. Though Steven may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Rust and E. Lucille Rust; and his brother Terrence Rust. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Rust; his granddaughter Alexandra Rust Sip; his brother Dennis Rust (Sally); and his former wives, Dallas Wall Rust and Susan Hrubes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
