He was predeceased by: his parents, John Haller and Sarah Haller (Halverson); and his siblings, John Haller, Pauline Meloy, Sally Oswald and Phyllis Bergstrom.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Haller (Van Sickle); and his grandchildren, Bryce Drecktrah, Gabriel Roberts, Gavin Roberts, Madelyn Richardson, Lukas Haller, Joe Richardson, Grace Roberts, Sarah Haller, Levi Richardson, Abigail Roberts and Zackary Haller.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ursday Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - Nevada (1418 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA 50201, USA). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Heartland Baptist Church (3333 Stange Rd, Ames, IA 50010).
