With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velda Marie Frette (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on April 14, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her stepmother Nellie Rose (Stufflebeam); her husbands, Robert Patti and Earl Frette; her brother Lester Rose; and her parents, Newell Rose and Emma Rose (Coop).
She is survived by: her son Norman Patti (Toni); her granddaughters, Jennifer Meiizoso and Michelle Caballero; her grandsons-in-law, John and Nestor; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Stefany, Christian, Matthew and Michael; and her sisters, Violet Dunlavy (Rose) and Velma Teske (Rose). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Story City or Loaves and Fishes food pantry in Story City.
