He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Michael Giddings (Lynnelle), Julie Giddings (Aaron Fahrenkrog) and Mark Giddings; his grandchildren, Colin, Elise Fahrenkrog, Jesiah Giddings, Archer Whitfield and Zadie Giddings; and his in-laws, Jane Giddings, Jody Lindgren (Doug), Gary Worthan (Jan) and Bonnie Worthan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the William G. Giddings Scholarship for Leaders at Northwest Iowa Community College, Sheldon, Iowa or Bethesda Lutheran Church, Ames, Iowa.
