It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Jay Borschel Sr. of Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James Jay shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James Jay farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Spencer and Mabel Bell Borschel (Shannon); and his wife Carole Jean Borschel. He is survived by: his children, James J. Jr. Borschel (Carol) of Robins, Kathryn K. McCorkle (Bill) of Cordova and Steven J. Borschel of Phoenix, Arizona; and his brother Pat Borschel (Connie) of Caryville, Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
