She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Watters and Helen Watters (Davis); her grandson Cory John Taylor; and her siblings, Dolores, Tommye, Nancy and Lyle.

She is survived by: her husband Garrett; her children, Karmen Reed (Steve), Steven Hamilton (Linda), Dan Hamilton, Melody Thompson (John) and Doug Hamilton (Sandi); her stepchildren, Randy Gerdes (Karla), Donnie Gerdes (Mary), Dennie Gerdes (Robin) and Shelly Berry (Andy); and her sister Linda Cox (Ron). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be directed to the Alzheimer's Association to support research and care.
