He was predeceased by : his parents, Neman Meyer and Vera Meyer (Faas); and his siblings, Pete Meyer, Neman Meyer and Arva Brockhohn.

He is survived by : his wife Loretta Meyer of Anamosa; his children, Connie Hupp (Kevin) of Ely, Carolyn Walker of Anamosa and James Meyer (Sally) of Anamosa; his stepsons, Mark Hamilton of Cedar Rapids and Cory Hamilton (Jackie) of Troy Mills; his grandchildren, Jessica Hupp, Joshua Hupp (Samantha), Jennifer Hupp, Brooke Bohlken (Tyler), Joel Walker (RaeEllen), Emily, Wesley Meyer and Madison Hamilton; and his sister Ruth Collins of Viola. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
