She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Shinkle and Grace Shinkle; her siblings, Donald, John, Tom and Lolly; her in-laws, Glen and Carol; her siblings-in-law, Lil and Ron; her brother Larry; her sisters-in-law, Joan and Mary Lou; her nephew Scott; her granddaughter Ashley Fisher; and her nephew Russell Wilson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Cave (Don) of Marcus and Teresa Cole (Steve) of Rochester, Minnesota.; and her husband Jim. She is also survived by spouses, eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home - Anita (2005 White Pole Rd, Anita, IA 50020). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church.
