We are sad to announce that, on February 4, 2026, at the age of 91, Barbara Louise Esser of Ankeny, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Even and Appolonia Even (Herrig); her husband Jerry Esser; her son-in-law Glen Hall; and her siblings, JoAnn Stokesberry, Dale, Duane, Robert and Ivan.

She is survived by: her children, Kim Hall, Kathy Esser Anderson (Larry), Kent Esser, Kevin Esser and Kelly McKee (Jack); and her sister Gloria Kritz. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Barb's memory may be directed to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
