He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Goins and Leota Goins (Albaugh); his sister Norma Jean Olson; and his brothers-in-law, Clifford Baughman and Danny Baughman.

He is survived by : his wife Joann Baughman; his son Mark Goins (Peggy); his grandchildren, Anne Macleod (Che Hoyka) and Matt Goins (Ashley Keller); his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Patterson and Brian Bevington; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Baughman and Rose Baughman.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dale Goins may be made to Ankeny First United Methodist Church.
