In loving memory of David M. Sommerlot of Ankeny, Iowa, who departed this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 71. David leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Richard Sommerlot. He is survived by: his mother Ramona Sommerlot (Reed) of Marshalltown; his wife Teri Alleman; his daughters, Kathryn Fukuda (Masaki) of Ankeny, Olivia Chen (Xin) of Berlin, Germany and Carly Galvan (Ron) of Nashville, Tennessee; his granddaughter Sophie Fukuda; and his siblings, Dianna Nelson (Ron), Steve (Evelyn) and Roger (Geri).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
