With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris M. Smith of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Coatsville, Missouri, who passed away on May 4, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Childs and Pearl McKinney Childs; her husband Robert Vernon Smith; her son John Smith; her grandsons, Gabriel Smith and Troy Smith; and her siblings, Ralph, Robert Childs, Dorothy Moulton, Olive Schultz and Irene Herteen.
She is survived by: her children, Garry Smith (Shelly) of Indianola, IA, Greg Smith and Vicki Rich of Ankeny, IA; and her siblings, Jeanette Smith of Ankeny and Ronald Childs of Arlington, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and three great-great granddaughters.
