She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Gardner and Emma Gardner; her husband Ross; and her son Ross. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Meyer (Mark) of Ames; and her grandchildren, Sarah Thompson (Luke), Andrew Meyer, Ross (Christine), Jared (Lacey) and Zachary Butler (Dan). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Illinois State University Foundation, Mennonite College of Nursing in memory of Doris Butler.
