It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Ahrens of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Eric is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Eric's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his father Al Ahrens; and his grandparents, Carl, Gerry Ahrens, Lyle and Colleen Wiley.
He is survived by: his mother Candy Ahrens; his daughter Jessica Ahrens; and his siblings, Mike Ferguson (Emily), Donald Ferguson, Mark Ferguson and Lisa Ahrens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eric's memory to WesleyLife Hospice, the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, or to PROJECT PURPLE.ORG., specializing in helping the fight against pancreatic cancer.
