He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Bagnall and Marjorie Bagnall; and his brother Gregg Bagnall. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bagnall (Church); his daughters, Kim Douglas (Rob) of Ankeny, Amy Van Blair (David) of Ankeny and Kristi Sterling of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Anna Sullivan (Layne), Katelyn Huber (Brandon), Chase Van Blair, Preston Van Blair, Isabella Sterling, Rosalyn Sterling and Ben Sterling; his great grandchildren, Isla Sullivan and Tate Huber; his brother Brent Bagnall (Deb) of Newton; and his nieces, Dr. Madison Bagnall and Cassie Crummett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Midwest or Story Point Urbandale.
