He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Welch and Isabelle Welch; and his siblings, Verla Crussell, Dwayne and Jay Welch.

He is survived by : his wife Colleen Welch (Jahnke); his sons, Eric Welch (Jennifer) of Woodward, IA and Jason Welch (Kay) of Woodward, IA; his grandchildren, Jozy Murry (Ben) and Luke Welch; and his great grandchild Joshua Murry.
