He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Groomes McGrew; and his wife Marlene A. Sels. He is survived by: his sons, Mark McGrew (Amy) of Polk City and Steve McGrew (Denise) of Corning; his brothers, Jean McGrew (Jacquie) of Northbrook and Jay McGrew of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Allison Michl (Alex) of Clive and Ryan McGrew; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Tristan and Rowan Michl.
