We announce the death of Jerome Lewis Groff of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 76. Jerome will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Groff and Anna "Virginia" Groff; his brother Dennis Groff; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Groff and Jerry Griffith.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughters, Megan Groff and Alexa Middleton (Jake); his grandchildren, Briar Kane, Imogene Kane, Frances Kane, Lucas Middleton and Zelda Middleton; and his siblings, James Groff (Pat), Jean Roberts (Willis), Judy Stoffer (Curtis), Laura Hess (Darrell), Tom Groff (Chris), Susan Griffith, Sandy O'Brien (Perry) and Sara Hartman (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
