He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bertram and Frances Bertram (Fouts); and his siblings, Nels D. Nielsen and Karla Bertram. He is survived by: his wife Judi DeVol; his children, April Burlage (Tom), Amber Slabaugh (Steve), Shane Conner, Josh Bertram (Gretchen), Jason Bertram and Joey Bertram (Lindsay); and his brother Phil Bertram (Kelly). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50023).
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be donated to a charity of their choosing, in Joseph's memory.
