With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Ruth Sawer (Ankeny, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosa Ann Herselius (Taylor) and Robert "Bob" Herselius; her brother Robert "Bob" Herselius; her aunts, Gretchen Rose and Karolyn "Judy" Huglin; and her uncle George "Bert" Taylor.
She is survived by: her husband Peter Sawer; her brothers, Ted Herselius (Dawn) and Jim Herselius (Elise); and her daughters, Latrice Brauckman (Shane) and Katie Mayotte (Nathan). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to NAMI or another organization focusing on advocacy for under-represented or silenced peoples in her name.
