He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford and Jeanette; his brothers, Duane, Jerold and Allen; his siblings-in-law, Keith Hildreth, Carol Ballard and Nancy Carr; and his daughter-in-law Michelle Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Steve Johnson, Jeff Johnson (Julie) and Sherry Jordan (Jim); his grandchildren, Nick Johnson (Erin), Andrew Johnson, Trey Johnson (Susannah) and Coleton Hamilton (Danielle); his great grandchildren, Desmond, Nathaniel, Jude, Dominic and Cameron; and his sisters, Verdal Odgaard and Janet Longcor.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50023). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023).
