It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Lowenberg of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred Lowenberg to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Smith and Helen Smith (Malone); her husband Ray Lowenberg; her siblings, Charlotte, Robert, Joan, Dorothy and Linda; her grandson Anthony; and her son-in-law Roy Cisco.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Korthas (Kent), Dan Lowenberg (Nancey), Doug Lowenberg (Melody), Dennis Lowenberg (Janyne) and Pamela Cisco; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Kylie, Kim, Lauren, Spencer, Shane, Jill and Andrew. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (1207 3rd St NE, Belmond, IA 50421). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery (1207 3rd St NE, Belmond, IA 50421).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the hospice of choice.
