She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johnson and Leona Johnson (Kent); and her sisters, Rachel Cockburn and Jetty Hooper (Johnson). She is survived by: her husband Larry; her sons, Steven Deaton and Jeffery Deaton (Suzette); her grandson Timothy Deaton; and her sister Janice Nelson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heartland Church (1212 NW 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50023). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed at the family and will be given to the Royal Family Kids Camp.
