Phillip left this world on May 9, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sturdevant and Hulda Sturdevant; and his siblings, Fred, Jerald "Jerry", Daniel "Danny" and Sharon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carla Schumacher (Jeff) of Ankeny, Paula Rees (Todd) of Amherst, Sarah Raymond (Richard) of Salado and Maggie Sturdevant (Juan) of Rogers, Arkansas; his grandchildren, David, Brian Schumacher, Taylor, Jack, Joe Rees, Garrett, Logan Wise, Mateo and Oscar Sturdevant Solano; his siblings, Frank (Carol), Dick (Margaret), Penny and Laura; and his former wives, Ann and Laura. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kavanagh House, Des Moines, IA, or the Ankeny Senior Center.
