Richard Douglas Ash Obituary
We announce the death of Richard Douglas Ash (Ankeny, Iowa), who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 78. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Arnold Ash and Ada Maie Ash (Ladage). He is survived by: his siblings, Rev. Evan (Lynn Ash) and Marilyn Ash of Waverly, NE; his nieces, Stephanie, Heather, Lindsay and Kristen; his stepchildren, RaeAnn, Hannah, Josiah, Moriah and Micah; and his close friend Joanie Coates.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Prairie Ridge Church (825 NW 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50023).
Memorials should be given to Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC, or Hope Ministries/Bethel Mission in Des Moines or Prairie Ridge Church in Ankeny.
