He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Alvin Scott and Anne Juliet Scott (Langosch); his wife Phyllis Beth Scott (Hogg); his daughter Melody Riskedahl; his siblings, Nancy Geyer, James and Robert Scott; and his nephews, James Scott and Mitchell Geyer.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Marie Scott-Slater (Kevin), Daniel Justin Scott and Kelley Langosch Scott (Heather); his grandchildren, Brianna Cellan and Mackenzie Hepworth (Joseph); his children, Rylee Scott (Morgan), Ashling Scott, Cullen Riskedahl (CJ) and Triona Scott; and his stepgrandchildren, Shelby Slater, Caleb Slater and Marleigh Kite. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Baptist Church (4703 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50021). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lone Pine Cemetery.
