He is survived by : his children, Dawn Farrell (Doug) of Clive, IA and David Sweet (Angela) of Des Moines, IA; his stepdaughter Gabrielle Sweet of Altoona, IA; his granddaughter Alyssa Farrell; his siblings, Lavonne Parks of Marshalltown and Norman Sweet (Darlene) of Roland, IA; his niece Heather Oelklause (Jeff); and his nephew Shannon Parks (Darcy).
