He is survived by: his parents, Bob Damstetter and Laura Damstetter of Ankeny; his wife Amanda; his children, Charlie, Paige and Oliver; his sisters, Liz Damstetter of Glenview, IL, Brianna Damstetter of Ankeny and Mickie Adam (Steve) of Minneapolis; his sisters-in-law, Julie McAvoy (Brad) and Tracy Jagim of Waukee; his nieces and nephews, Mikaela, Lauren, Collins, Alex, Tanner, Keegan, Simon, Elliott, Calvin, Conrad, Miles and Rowan; and also, Leon and Sharon Jagim of Urbandale.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Hope (520 NW 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50023). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Hope-Ankeny (520 NW 36th St, Ankeny, IA 50023).
In lieu of flowers the family is establishing a trust fund for the care of Scott and Amanda's children.
