It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Emerson of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Verna may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verne H. Emerson and Betty O. Emerson (Howard); her husband Larry Bell; and her granddaughter Ranea Kay Bell. She is survived by: her daughter Tammi Bell; her grandson Roman Bell; her sister Carolyn Mikkelsen (Tim); and her pet Mister.
