With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Foley of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on May 18, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Foley and Elizabeth Foley (Therens); his wife Lorraine Louise Josephine Rolfes; his siblings, Dorothy Pecks (Hilton 'Red'), Jean Scjodt (Oscar) and Milton'Bud'Foley; his sisters-in-law, Lucy Gralapp (Leslie) and Rita Niehus (Walter); and his nieces and nephews, Darlene Lansink (Donald), Diana Gralapp, Michael Rolfes, David Pecks (Lynn), Evon Gralapp (Nancee), Tom Niehus and Douglas Niehus.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Gillman (Blake) of Mesa, AZ, William Foley III of Wichita, KS and Mary Foley Balvanz (Doug Balvanz) of Ankeny, IA; his sister-in-law Sister Fidelis M. Rolfes of Chicago, IL; and his friend Denny Ernst. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
