With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marvin C. Hanson of Anthon, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marvin left this world on October 29, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Hanson and Rossie Hanson (Sealey); his wife Donna Weathers; his brothers, Francis "Bub" and Clayton Hanson; his sons-in-law, Mike Wood and John Boehm; and his great grandchild Patrick Hudson.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Wood of Anthon, IA, Clifford Hanson (Arlene) of Windsor, Ontario, Janet Boehm of Blaine, MN and Dale Hanson (Wendy) of Centennial, CO; and his brother Verne Hanson (Bonnie) of Yankton, SD.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Anthon Community Methodist Church (401 E Bridge St, Anthon, IA 51004). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Anthon Community Methodist Church or the McNiff Post #389 American Legion.
